I would definitely not recommend this for senior citizens! The boat ride going out and coming back was very rough. The whole experience lasted about two hours by the time we waited in line so long and then to have about 10 minute parasail ride was not worth it to me. Would have much rather have been sitting on the beach. Still learning at 64!!
The staff was friendly and the experience was great. However it was a busy day. I was told to be there at 2 and that my parasailing experience would take 50 minutes. I ended up having to wait on the beach in front of a cone without leaving for 1 hr 40 min. I had applied sunscreen previously and knew I'd be fine for the 50 minute ride, but had not anticipated (or desired) having to wait so long standing on a beach. I got burnt on the top of my head and shoulders. I was very frustrated with the waste of my time. I wish I had been told about the wait time or told what time it would be best to arrive at, or allowed to check in and then told to come back in an hour because of the anticipated wait time, etc. There are many ways in which it could have been handled better. I have to rate it 3 stars to give credit to the staff I worked with, but whomever is managing this business needs to think a little more intelligently about their customer's entire experience
We had a wonderful time on the parasail ride and everyone was nice! The reason for the 4 star: I don't know if it was the Labor Day weekend being so busy but we had a 10:30 appointment. However it is not ran that way. Once you check in, fill out paperwork, pay, then get life jackets we waited an HOUR standing by cones for the banana boat . Again not sure if this was bc of the weekend or not but this is definitely something we would have liked to know. From us getting there are 10:20 to back on shore was an hour and 40 minutes. I will say the time in the air was awesome and seemed long, we were not rushed at all. Definitely a good experience but they should tell you about the wait.
The view was nice but because they don't have a pier to get on the boat you have to take an inflatable canoe out to the boat. This is fine until you realize that you can't bring your phone without a water proof bag which they don't provide. They do offer one picture for $25 or a whole CD of pictures for $50. A complete rip off! They should provide water proof bags but then they couldn't sell you $50 worth of pictures. Remember to bring a waterproof bag if you want pictures of your loved ones. Also my girlfriend is the friendliest person I know and she said the guys on the boat didn't talk to her at all. She said it was awkward riding on the boat watching our girls up in the parasail.
We had a blast here last week on our honeymoon! Staff was awesome and helpful. Wait was a little longer than we thought it would be since we scheduled for 8:30 am but it was worth it. The banana boat ride may have been my favorite part, thanks Buck!
