I made a reservation on December 12 to stay here on Sunday December 17,2017. At 10:30 am Dec 17th, the hotel called to let me know they had no hot water. They had not had hot water all week. Wanted to know if I still wanted to stay....... and at full price. I said no. They did not offer to transfer my reservation to another La Quinta or offer any assistance. I will NEVER stay here again!!!!!!
When we arrived, the fridge in our room was leaking. They immediately moved us to another room. Rooms are not as clean as I hoped, but good accommodations for the price and location.
Don't ignore the reviews. This is by far the nastiest La Quinta I have ever visited. Check in went smooth. The halls were FILTHY. Almost immediately I started experiencing flea bites. The beds are disgusting.The sheets don't fit so they are ripped at the seems. Human hair in the beds and around the bathroom. The shower curtain was molded. There were roaches. We had not one but two rooms like this. The woman offered to switch our rooms but the other two rooms were worse! They smelled like urine and mildew. It was so bad we checked out and drove 2 hrs to Charleston due to not being able to find a room last minute. This hotel experience ruined our vacation plans. Don't make the same mistake we did! It isn't just one small issue you can overlook.
I had a great experience at la Quinta. The room was big enough had fridge and microwave. Plus is pet friendly without extra charge. My room was pretty clean, nothing to complain about. The breakfast was ok, they didn't have scrambled eggs or meat but they had waffle and grits/biscuits.
I came to the beach for only a few hours when tragedy struck and I had to take my friend to the hospital. It was the weekend and I was trying to find a place to stay as my friend would not be getting out of the hospital. I happened to find the quality inn and they had 1 room left so I took it. They catered to my needs in every way I could expect. They have the best staff any one could ask for. The rooms are clean and nice, the beds are comfortable and it is only a few minutes from the beach and should you need it the hospital. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone Quality is not just in the name.
