My dad, Pookey, has worked here since '03. So, the Theatre has always been a big part of my life. I truly love it here and the people that work/have worked here. It's always been a magical place for me growing up, being able to get to know the cast personally and see everything in front and behind the curtains. And now that I have a little girl, she sees the magic too. I recommend this place utterly and completely; they never disappoint.
Amazing talent from the cast to the band to the tech and stage crews. A must see if you are in or passing through Myrtle Beach. The entire cast stayed and greeted everyone, shaking hands, telling stories, just being amazingly gracious and wonderful people. God blessed them with talent and they are all kind enough to share it in a fantastic show.
The first part of the show was good but way too cheesy and I started writing a bad review during intermission but I deleted what I typed just now after the show because in the second half, it was less cheesy and there was more talent shown. All of the people in that theater- about 95% seniors I’d say- were enjoying themselves tremendously, so odds are, if you like big shows with lots of lights and lots of dancing and extravagant songs you will like this. However, if you’re like me, you may not like this. Like I said before, it’s very cheesy. There are can can dancers, tap dancers, guitar solos (which even though it was totally cheese, were actually surprisingly very good) and harmonies to the likes of the dramatic Mariah Carrie songs. Just too much for me. But still very talented people which is why I still have it a pretty good rating
My husband and I attended the Christmas Show Saturday night. It was AWESOME!! The best I have seen so far. The music, the dancers, the scenery, and of course Ricky...did not disappoint. Santa even showed up. Loved how the children in the audience came up on stage to sing a song....so cute...and of course they always recognize the military. Thanks so much for a wonderful evening! We just may go again before the year ends...it was that good!
Outstanding show with many talented performers. The music was amazing and we look forward to our next visit. We attended the Christmas Show on December 16th. Truly enjoyed the comedian, Ricky Morkel and we are planning to see his one man show. If you didn't like the humor, as Ricky would suggest, find that safe place and color something. Great overall show and a must see at Myrtle Beach.
