This is not exactly a park in the traditional sense. It is a green space in the middle of lots of buildings, but the only amenities are swings, bathrooms, and a wind turbine. Good to get off your feet.
Pretty place with a nice entrance to the beach. Also has a place to wash off the sand if you're coming from the beach. There is also free parking a few blocks away.
Great little park to relax at or wash sand off when coming back from the beach. The walkway over the sand dunes is very smooth and clean, so there isn't a risk of splinters. The park also provides information about Santee Cooper's Wind Education Project.
Great beach, dog-friendly before 9a and after 5p. Clean and not overcrowded.
Great small park for dog walks, places where couples can sit, even chess boards built into s few tables. Very nice place to catch a breeze. There is also a small covered area with picnic tables. Check out the wind turbine, very cool to see clean energy in our parks!
